BartlettChen LLC, a Chicago-based firm, has teamed up with litigation powerhouse Colson Hicks Eidson (Curtis Miner and Frank Maderal), a Florida-based firm, to jointly represent the family of Dr. Rio Nanda Pratama, who was tragically killed in the Lion Air crash two weeks before he was to be married. The firms filed the first lawsuit in the United States in Chicago, Illinois against The Boeing Company last week.

“We believe that our firms’ combined strengths will assist Dr. Pratama’s family in securing justice,” said Austin Bartlett, co-founder of BartlettChen. “Prior to starting BartlettChen which focuses on helping airline passengers and their families, I spent 17 years defending aviation manufacturers and airlines in a wide variety of litigation, including commercial airplane crashes all over the world, including Indonesia,” said Bartlett. “Curt Miner’s firm, Colson Hicks Eidson, has a wealth of experience and a history of success representing families in airplane crashes including in Indonesia. We believe that jointly representing this family and any others who seek our assistance will help them find out the truth about the circumstances of this crash and hold those responsible accountable for their actions,” said Bartlett.
